About

Over time, MAYO and his studio have collaborated closely with leading architects, engineers, and planners on both public and private com- missions. These long-term collaborations are rooted in mutual exchange, where artistic thinking and architectural logic inform one another throughout the design and realization process. Within these partnerships, art is not conceived as an afterthought or embellishment, but as an integral force that shapes spatial identity, atmosphere, and meaning.

MAYO moves within zones where art does not answer architecture, but complements it, gently and from within. Authorship recedes in favor of attentiveness: to space, to perception, to the subtle ways form is sensed rather than defned. What emerges is not a discipline, but a condi- tion — a way of inhabiting space as thought, as movement, as quiet intensity and lived experience.
