The project extends and refurbishes a public school complex from the 1970s through a new building volume and generous, park-like outdoor spaces. A clear architectural strategy connects the previously heterogeneous ensemble of existing buildings into a coherent overall campus.
New constructions are realised according to the Minergie-P-Eco standard, while the existing buildings are refurbished to Minergie standards. The former façade of the existing structures is reinterpreted to meet current energy requirements, integrating solar protection and rear ventilation as precise architectural elements.
